Background & Experience

Steve joined the Royal Navy in 1977 direct from school at 16 years of age. He served for 19 years, training in Electro/Mechanical Engineering, gaining B-Tec and City & Guild certificates. his work saw him working on all manner of machines you would find on both old and new build ships, from a simple electrical light to main engines and generators, stripping down electric motors and overhauling them, wiring and maintaining sophisticated electrical control panels eventually becoming an instructor for various courses within the Navy structure.

On leaving the Royal Navy 1996, Steve started work as an engineer for a local Pump Servicing company. He was promoted to service manager in 2000 which saw him running the service department dealing with new build and installations through to repairs on site and in the workshop, ordering parts as required and organising man power.

The Company

In October 2004, He set up Steve Jackson Pump Services Ltd, and using all the knowledge gained from my various jobs, his company is now gaining recognition from all manner of different trade services.

They carry out sub contract work for another well established pump servicing company 'ACTION PUMPS', various irrigation companies, sewage services 'THE CESSPIT Co Ltd', property maintenance companies and any general public enquiries. Steve Jackson Pump Services are a very dedicated company who pride themselves on doing the job right the first time and not having to do things twice.

Steve is still very much involved with manual work for all the jobs both on site as well as workshop repairs. He does not spend all day in the office, using mainly nights and weekends to sort paperwork.

SJPS offer a full range of services to the water pumping sector and the public from fixed and variable speed pumps as well as all the associated controls. SJPS can supply packaged pumps or individual pumps and they offer a fully guaranteed, warrantied service covering Fresh Water, Storm Water, Sewage, Boreholes and Wells.

Services Include fresh water boosters, irrigation for golf courses or the private garden, showers, ponds, pressurisation units & circulators for heating and chilled systems and swimming pools.
